Have you all turned on Hughes?

As a player league, domestic and european cups.

Finished in the top ten in his 3 seasons at Blackburn, better than both MON and Moyes, also took them to 3 semis. Oh I forgot we are a much more successful club than them!

Souness got Blackburn to the top 10 3 times also. He actually won something with them too. Now, I'm sure we'd all agree Souness is a shite manager & we wouldn't want him at City, so why is it different with Hughes?

£100M spent, bottom half of table, 8 points off relagation, knocked out of both domestic cups at 1st hurdle............would you give this man any more money to spend?

6 points of 7th! You can moan as much as you want he ain't going to get sacked so get used to it.

Onwards and upwards with Hughesy!!

he will be gone if we don't win the uefa cup. the fans won't let him still be here.

And that's fair enough imo after some of the performances this year. However...what happens if we do fluke our way through and win the UEFA cup. Does he stay then? I wouldn't really feel like it was deserved but I won't complain if we do win. I'd still want a change of management though. I used to think he didn't have 'his' team together yet but I've lost confidence in him completely now as a manager with his very questionable tactics, subsitutions and his rumoured inability to get along with some of his players.

i wouldn't sack him if he managed to win us our 1st trophy in 30 odd years fluke or otherwise. but as i said before unless he can manage to do that there is no reason for him to stay. he's made us worse and spent £150million in the process. hardly a great job IMO

Pam, I've voted "not content" in every "official" poll (is this four now, or three?). I said my piece months ago, though I'll chime-in now and again. I've nothing against Hughes really - I don't think he's a Rag just cos he played for Urinal, i.e., all A's are not B's - and his tactics have the whiff of resonable people disagreeing now and again. I don't understand what is so attractive about the man as a manager, and I think we can do better. Having bored with that, I don't want the next manager (should it come to it) saddled with some of the rotters drawing massif salt for sweet fecking average.

The fans don't own the club thank god.

I remember the fans getting plenty of managers sacked and nothing improved.
but the owners will want what is best for the fans, this clown isn't the way forward.
The owners want to be seen has giving the manager a chance and that is why he will be here next season. They know if they sacked him there would be accusations of them not being patient by the media.

Personally that's not why I want him to stay, I actually believe he is capable of turning things around. Now the last week may make me look stupid in the eyes of many fans, but I am not one to panic because of a few bad results.

Can you name just ONE manager that was sacked by the City fans?

Just ONE?

Argue your point but don't talk through your arse...okay?

What rubbish!! He has been a winner his whole career unlike our team. You may think he is not the man to manage us, but to say he isn't a winner is just plain stupid.

A winner as a player maybe. But what has he won as a manager?

Apart from Ferguson, what British manager managing has won anything until Redknapp last year.
pretty clear that we need to look abroad then

Spuds have done that on a few occasions and I bet have spent close to 250 million in the last 3 years with limited success. Strangely enough the best one they had was Jol and they sacked him.

David Moyes and Martin O'Neil would all have been forced out at our place. It's shocking what we've become.

We're like that friendly guy we used to know before he won the lottery and completely changed.

It says it all that people are saying we could win on Thursday and they'd still want him out. We'd be on the verge of winning something, we'd be in our first semi final of my life time.

The man just can't win.

That's hardly a convincing argument to keep him is it?

But Jol IMPROVED the Spuds team - I don't see any improvement. In fact we were better at the beginning of the season, slightly.
