Have you all turned on Hughes?

The trouble is Hughes is clueless, O'neill and Moyes are not... therein lies the answer.

The amount of raw tallant he has had at his fingertips ALL season is unbelievable, but not as unbelievable as the position we find ourselves.

The man is a liability and an ok championship manager.... and thats it!
Personally I think Hughes is suited to the underdog teams - his tactics are all about stopping the opposition, breaking up play and huffing and puffing.

I have to disagree because with Pedersen and Bentley they played some of the most attacking football in the Prem. You can hardly say Tugay is a clogger?

Building a team takes time and sadly like all walks of life, many want success yesterday without trying.
But why can Roy Hodgson do it without spending a bean with a bunch of journeymen and Hughes can't. I don't see the improvement.

Well Roy Hodgson had plenty of money at Blackburn when he got sacked.

I think for 99% of managers they inevitably get the sack. It doesn't make them bad managers, just not successful ones
please be a little clearer with your answer;

He is a Premiership manager and proved that at Blackburn. I get fed up when people come out and call players and managers they don't like has championship level.

He's won fook all.

He's crap. I was being kind suggesting he was an ok Championship manager.

what if he is called a small premier league club manger, is that better?

Well he is a Premiership manager, and his Blackburn finished ahead of Sven's City last season.

And they finished bottom pf the Fair Play League (unlike City)... just like they did every year he was manager there...Brilliant!

He hardly spent anything at Blackburn but was successful. It could be he is better working with players than buying in superstars. However, I don't believe 8 months is enough time.

How long would you give him, if we still continued like this - losing to lower league opposition in the cups etc and settling for 11th position in the league - months or years?

Maybe that's the trouble this season. Too many soft players who are afraid to get stuck in? I would rather have a successful team, bottom of the fair play league, rather than get into Europe through it and be unsuccessful.

Personally I think we will be in the top 6 or 7 for most of next season with a few additions. Saying that you would give him 2,3 or 4 years is not sensible. All I believe is that you need at least one season to lay the foundations and move the team forward no matter how much you have to spend.
