Have you all turned on Hughes?

your loyalty is admirable bluePeter but hughes is a dead man walking.the performances and results speak for themselves, the substitutions and formations baffling and the players have looked like sunday league players at times. hughes gives the team talks, picks the team, does the training sessions, decides what tatics we are going to use and he is not doing a good job and not looking like improving anytime soon

If Hughes was to go, do you really think it would be a decision to come back and haunt us? I just cant see it. Yep, we've let some pretty decent players go over the years and they've gone to other clubs and been a massive success, name one manager who we've relieved of their services at the club and they've gone on to achieve great things.

i think a lot of people have lost faith in him for a variety of reasons and the more the seed of doubt spreads the more likely it is he will be gone in the summer.

some signings have been excellent but his tactics, man management and results have been poor. i hate how miserable he always is and i cant stand his press conferences or his pitch side moans at referees and the fact he never seems to encourage or inspire any players. i also hate the fact that he has managed to turn fans against eachother and split opinion.

Was thinking about this one today and I could only think of Billy McNeill doing the double with Celtic in 1988, which I don't suppose is anything remarkable.

Perhaps the reason managers typically don't achieve anything after leaving City is that having failed at MCFC chairmen of similar or bigger clubs don't appoint them and thus the person never gets the opportunity to manage at a similar level again.

Food for thought ?

Well I believe the owners will stick by him. However, it is all about opinions and I guess we will find out who is right before long.

Ron Saunders
Player power got rid of him because they didn't like his tough regime, actually making them train ffs.

"As a manager Saunders first tasted success at Norwich City, guiding them to the Second Division title for the first time in 1972. A short spell at Manchester City followed, before he joined Aston Villa in 1974.
He managed Villa to the Second Division runners up spot and the League Cup in 1975, winning the League Cup again in 1977 before taking the club to its first Championship success for 70 years in 1981. He resigned from Villa on the verge of the club's greatest achievement, winning the European Cup, due to a disagreement with the board over his contract. He also had a cameo role in the ATV soap opera Crossroads in 1981."

Considering the managers we have had it would have been unlikely, although Reidy got Sunderland to 7th place twice in the prem.

Okay blame him if you are not happy with team selection, tactics etc, but to blame him for fans turning against each other is wrong. I have seen plenty of arguments between City fans down the years.
