Have you all turned on Hughes?

sven is just sven, he's class. people would come to city if he took over. moyes hughes and oniell all good managers but unlikely to attract big big players on a regular basis.we were dreadful in the latter stages last season but boy was it fun.inc the double over the scum.
i feel frank ruined sven and if he had been given unlimited funds we would be top 4 now.

I think we should all agree that Mark Hughes has failed to understand management, it is all about getting the very best out of the limited resources you have; on that score he has failed spectacularly. Especially when you consider he has bought nearly a new team, the best player being one he did not buy, most ominous is the fact that even his really good signings are starting to play badly and make basic (loss of confidence) mistakes, Zabaleta, DeJong, Bridge, and I will not mention the Tal Ben Haim flop.

Let ADUG decide his future, but it is hard to see how he can continue with the team split and the supporters split. If the brazilian clique is the problem then he should have dropped them or sorted it out by now, no excuses.

The forest match was the final nail in the coffin for me and i have not seen anything since to think that i may have been a bit hasty.

But looking at what is needed now is also a difficult one. The only chance we have of getting any top quality players coming here in the summer is by getting a world class/reknown manager in who players will happy to come and play for, even with the distinct reality that we will not be in the Europa league. The top managers will take some wrenching (and a lot of money which is in our favour) to come here.

the thing with hughes, i dont doubt he could take us far, but i dont like the style of play under him, defensive, unattractive.

i think when we do replace hughes it will need to be a big name manager who is proven that way i believe the fans will not get on his back as has done with hughes as he is still learning and tbh i think he couldnt be in a worse place for it for his own good

A couple of defeats and the Hughes out crowd sit there all smug as if they knew it would happen all along. It's very easy to call a manager shit and then try to wait for him to prove you right (not that Hughes has even done that yet) when your teams not been successful for 30 odd years. It's much harder to get behind him and support him through thick and thin, despite history showing us which us the more successful method. I thought loyalty is something we're particularly proud of?! So you keep longing for Sven or any half arsed manager that happens never to have played for the rags and I'll get behind the team.
