Have you ever bet against City in a big match?

I had heavy comfort bets on Real Madrid to qualify before last years second leg semi and Chelsea to lift the CL in the final. I have £25 on Leeds or draw today and frequently have a flutter if the odds are 12/1 or over for the opposition team. I also put a comfort bet on a Utd (FA Cup), Arse (EPL) and Real (CL) combination before we destroyed Arsenal that would have paid out just under £3800.

Well no, I don't, because the odds of us losing a league match are slim to zero, aren't they? We had a freaky dip at the beginning of the season but it's over now. Generally we win every game.

I've currently got £30 @ 14/1 for Arsenal. No bloody interest in collecting it mind.

I’ve bet against us miles more than for us.

Not because I think we’ll lose but I need some silver lining if the worst happens. I hate it when we lose or even draw.

At this time of year when it comes to big games it’s not like it doesn’t matter. It’s highly likely we’d be out of a cup or something so our loses are far more worse as we always have to win to reach our goals.

Im a child of the 80s/90s so I will never fully adjust to us being the best.
Even at 2-0 in the 90th I still think we might draw.
The Leeds and Leicester games recently, I was crapping my pants the last 10 min. Younger fans wouldn’t have even bat an eye lid. They’d be like, oh it’s only 1 goal relax, be full time in a minute. I was a wreck ha.

In fact I put £5 on us to be trophyless at 100/1 last week.

I have a small betting budget each week and I’m more than happy to lose it all on the understanding we win.

(I understand betting on us would be the best of both worlds before some normal person pipes up).
