I used to do St John Ambulance duties at Stockport County when City were away & at one game headed the ball back into play. Like a younger fatter Dave Watson I looked !

In maybe my 3rd/4th ever game vs Norwich in 1990, I was in the North Stand at Maine Rd. A City player had a shot at our end and Bryan Gunn tipped it over the bar. The ball smacked me right on the head. I saw it coming straight towards me but did nothing. Couldn't believe how hard the ball was.

York City away in 1998, stood behind the goal and the ball came to me, i ended up throwing it back to their keeper, any ideas who it was? (there's no prize for the winning entry though)!!!

Even weirder was walking to the ground around 5 years ago and actually turning around and telling my mate I was going to catch the ball at the match today against Portsmouth. 5 minutes before the end of the game I was sat in SS2 219 with the ball in my lap after a wayward shot from Lauren Robert. This has to be one of the most bizarre things that has ever happened to me :) True story !!

A few years ago I remeber some lad on row 1 of the bellend talking to his mate drinking a coffee during the warm up. The ball hit him straight on the hand coffee everywhere and didnt see it coming

A preseason friendly against Valencia not only did I catch the fucker chucked it back and hit the post, got a big cheer as well

My mate sat next to me in the Kippax caught one of the balls booted into the stand on the first game it reopened as an all seating area (think it was Quinnie who booted it!)

He took it home for his son (who was about 14 at the time) and I think his son now has it on display in his home (he's got a wfe and 3 kids now!)

Not sure if this counts, but a nice memory all the same!
