Not had ortolan but the rest are palatable. That is NOT a selling point. I wonder if they do a Rabbit, Frog, Snail, Horse & Robin mixed stew?

Myxomatosis probably didn't endear rabbit to most people. My old man used to eat a lot of rabbit when he was young in the 1940sOften and it’s delicious. Wonderful Spanish, French, Italian, and Greek dishes. Never fully understood why it so fell out of favour in British cuisine.
Anyone eating rabbit curry who's never eaten it before would think it it was chicken.Yes and I have loved it. About four of five years ago I had rabbit curry in an Indian Restaurant - fantastic !!
I once met a guy who did rabbit control at Fylingdales early warning base - grass all round and nobody can go there so its full of the critters - he ate some - sold some to licensed game dealers but the rest were buried as there was no market for them. Always struck me as odd - an abundant, indigenous source of protein that was once loved now largely ignored for no real reason.
Between that Beatrix potter and watership down it's been pushed off the menu. Shame - we should be eating venison and rabbit all the time rather than chicken breast and farmed Salmon. Rabbit and venison are in need of culling in most parts of the country and it's great tasting lean protein - even the fucking vegans can eat it because it's made out of chewed up grass ;-)Myxomatosis probably didn't endear rabbit to most people. I’ve tried frogs legs a few times too.
Usually just tasted of garlic and not enough meat on them to bother with really.
