Have you, or anybody you know, got the virus yet?

i posted this on the " COVID -19 " thread

my wife ,works in nhs ,poorly with cough since saturday night,told to self isolate when she rang her department this morning for 7 days,i was already in work ,nhs,at 6 am
now ,anybody living with anybody in self isolation,must stay isolated too for 14 days
wow
i warned the storm is coming on saturday
been told what the nhs is preparing for this maelstrom,it is frightening in the extreme
 
I’ve been off work sick and now I’m working from home. I think I have it, but obviously you can’t get tested.

I have quite a bad cough, so should anyone who has seen me be self isolating for 14 days now?
 
Yes, someone i know has Covid-19, the trouble is i don't know who it is nor do they because they are not yet in hospital and so aren't being tested.
 
Now my other sister has it as well, which isn't surprising as she works at a school full of foreign kids in Manchester. So her and her boyfriend are isolating. Luckily both her and my other sister don't really live with or interact with at risk people, but it definitely feels like it's closing in. Both my parents are (very young and healthy) early 70's and I'm the only one who lives near them now, so I am starting to feel the pressure a bit, I doubt they will agree to being isolated for 3 months tbh (nor do I think they should really as both are much healthier than the average 50's person)

Bizarrely enough, I coach U13s, and my youngest woke up with a temperature this morning, me and mrs were told to stay home.
Since then bojo's told us to stay home for 2 weeks.
 
For the first time today i managed to hold a short conversation without coughing my lungs up, about 3 weeks from infection to now,that might give those of you suffering badly a time scale

Edit,it has only been 2 weeks not 3,feels MUCH longer !

Yes, they should. If they’ve had direct contact with you, or you happen to have coughed/shook hands etc on them.

still, can I just say that if the pic of you from last years BM meet-up (from memory), wasn’t a photoshop job, you really don’t look 59. though I may be dreaming that?!?
