Hazard Joining Chelsea

A few points:

There can be no doubt whatsoever about who actually signs players at Chelsea. Last year Mata was signed before AVB and now other players Hazard, Marin etc are being signed with no manager. The real manager at Chelsea is Abramovich, he just doesn't sit in the dug out!!

It's interesting, people often compare City & Chelsea as being the same but we are run totally differently. Unlike some I'm not anti-Abramovich, it's clear to see he actually passionately supports that Club. If Mansour was jumping up and down, celebrating our win with his son, attending every game and lifting a Trophy in front of City supporters, people on here would be hailing him.

I cannot believe Hazard chose Chelsea. Did they even scout him? LOL

London is more attractive to players than Manchester. It's true, nothing we can do about it. Even Fergie has admitted this in the past.

Chelsea are a 'big club' to non English players.

The Independent the other day reported Chelsea have said they have broken even due to increased commercial revenue, so I don't think FFP is going to be as big a concern as some are making out. Maybe some people don't know, but Chelsea were one of the clubs pushing hard for FFP because Abramovich did not want to have to match Sheikh Mansour in financial terms.

The other day Chelsea exec was reported as saying they will sign 4 players and one will be a striker. Rumours it's Falcao, as Pep Guardiola is a massive fan of Falcao and praised him very highly when in Spain.

Oddly enough, I'm not bothered at all by the fact that he didn't sign for us.
He's undoubtedly a great player... but just you wait until you come up against us dear Eden.
The wall he'll repeatedly run into will have the name Lescott or Kompany on it's back.

Good luck to him, but I will not be very surprised if he fails to make an impact on the PL.

He would have made one playing with Silva, Nasri and Aguero.

Now he is up against it.

What a fucking ridiculous choice.

good luck to the lad, he really is a brilliant talent.
but they've given obv given into his demands the most. made assurances about where he'll play (without a manager) and offered him good money.
dissapointed hes not going to be in the blue of manchester city, but his antics recently have made it an easier blow to take

The 'without a manager' bit is the most ridiculous of all. Surely to christ he must have spoken to someone who at least thinks he'll be managing the club next season ? The idea that the owner, or some other turd in a suit, has told the player where he will play and the player has taken his word for it, would be so wrong, on so many levels.

Regardless of how it was done Chelsea won the CL, thats a fantastic achievement under any circumstances. You have to assume Hazard has joined Chelsea having been given the inside track on future movements of the club regarding managers and transfers and that suddenly makes them a very interesting proposition going into the next season. Should they not strengthen further then I think they will struggle to keep pace with us and united again throughout the season, but you have to assume they are going to be in the market for more.

Next year's league could be very exciting, and would make winning it all the more sweeter.

Or y'know, all those outlandish bonus and wage demands that we're no longer willing to meet.....

One thing is for sure, the media wont be over inflating all the details of the contract they know nothing about now he's with chelsea. which they would have done if he signed for us. He would be earning 10,000,000 per kick of the ball and hot and cold running prostitutes.

Well when I look at all of Chelsea's successes, two names spring to mind. Mourinho and Drogba.

Imo, they no closer to the title now than they were two weeks ago, as Hazard cannot replace Drogba & even if Drogba stayed, he can't produce the highest standard week in week out anymore. If/when he goes, they are further away.

People make too much of chelsea's recent victories, they were a team and a manager with ZERO pressure on them to achieve anything as their season was written off. So they built up a little head of steam and people get giddy like they did Liverpool last season.

What hurt Chelsea most was the manager situation. AVB used some bizarre tactics and the players quit on him, causing them to drop silly points. If they were under Di Matteo or Pep for a whole season, two managers they would obviously respect, I think that's worth 10 points at least.
