Friend of my daughter is there at the moment and been evacuated. Spent last night in a hall on a mattress and now looking like heading home. Only been there 3 days.

Most flights to Greece have been cancelled

That's not accurate. Flights to Rhodes are being cancelled. 99% of Greece isn't affected by these fires and flights are running as normal to other airports.

As for Europe, it isn’t all baking in a heatwave. Bar the Med, much of Europe is having a nice Summer.



We’re just unlucky in Manchester that the Atlantic Jetstream has a huge and negative effect on our annual weather.

The Aborigines used to start managed fires in the Australian bush and had done for thousands of years, Then the Ozzy government and the green do gooders put a stop to it. The result were those horrendous bush fires.
