Hector Bellerin

It's laughable that people think Maffeo would stay to play 2nd fiddle to Bellerin.

We're talking about someone who was ambitious enough to leave home at 15/16 to play his way to the top. He will not settle for bring a back up for the next 10 years.

I kind of agree but if sagna goes Zaba too and we get Bellerin Maffeo ans Bellerin will play plenty

Good part about signing Bellerin is that he would count as association trained, so either Clichy/Delph can go to make up another foreign place.

Its up to maffeo to complete and make the position his own. If he can become zaba/sagna standard then he will get plenty of games with rotation/ suspension/ injury.

If u could predict the future and tell him he would be at the club for the next ten years playing 30 odd games each season on average right now I'm sure he'd snatch ur hand off. Especially as he is not yet the finished article. He could be quality, but then he could be playing for Sheffield Wednesday in 18 months. The notion that it's laughable is laughable.

Sagna and Zaba only accept being in a rotation system because they're both old, and one of them is usually injured anyway.

How can Maffeo get to their level if he only gets games in the LC or FA cup?

Bellerin would play all PL and CL games. So Maffeo wouldn't get near 30 starts a season, with most of his appearances reserved for inferior opposition.

I think, and hope, that he's got more ambition than to be a bit part player.

One full back can't play all games, and there's always small niggling injuries, just look at our current rotation.

The starting full back and the reserve will get games, no matter what.

Clichy: 8 games, 3 premier league, 2 champions league, 1 champions league qualification and one EFL.

Kolarov: 11 games, 7 premier league, 2 champions league and 2 champions league qualifications.

Sagna: 5 games, 4 premier league and 1 champions league qualification.

Zabaleta: 9 games, 5 premier league, 2 champions league, 1 champions league qualification and one EFL.

As that shows, how come you think Bellerin would suddenly be able to play ALL games?

Pep just love rotation.
it's laughable to think than Bellerin will play ALL league and CL games.
they both will have a fair share playing time.
just hope Maffeo and Angelino will up to the task,
and playing regularly in the 1st team.
