Hector Bellerin

great signing ! but price is too steep :/

Have to disagree, I think he would be a very good value buy at £50 mil. Massive potential, an immediate improvement on our starting 11 already and his value will only rise plus it's a position we are in great need of refreshing. On top of all that we are weakening a premier league rival. I would love for this to happen

Completely agree with this. He's what we need, would be here for arguably ten years and will improve into an even better player. We've got to come away from price tags as players values are only going to soar.

I agree that we shouldn't really dwell too much on transfer fees these days, but even I baulk a bit at £50m for Bellerin. He's a great right-back with huge potential, don't get me wrong, but that seems pretty steep even in today's market. Is he classed as home grown?

He is homegrown, joined Arsenal at 16.

As for £50m - Part of me thinks it's insane, but I also thought £47m for Stones was insane 6 months ago, and by the time of the transfer I thought it was "a bit much" and now after 10 games it looks like a good investment.

Should rename the emerites stadium to the City of Manchester stadium we've paid for it

He is homegrown, but having more than 4 homegrown players in the squad doesn't really makes sense, unless it makes you more comfortable. :) Of course, currently it's Clichy, Delph and Stones and Sterling, so in a season or two, we'll probably only have the latter two.

£50m is pretty steep alright, though if Pep wants him it's good enough for me. Especially as Zabaleta and probably Sagna will be gone in the summer.

We'll need him for his homegrown status as well as we need at least 1 homegrown player next summer as I don't think Clichy will be staying and I have doubts about Delph.

Yeah, pretty sure Clichy and Delph don't have long term futures at the club so that homegrown quota will need to be filled one way or another.
