Hector Bellerin

Watched him against Burnley looked ok, but what about our young fullbacks surely they deserve a run in the side.

All 4 senior fullbacks need to go, Maffeo and Angelino definitely deserve a chance, but there's no reason we can't have them as 2nd choice to Bellerin and Grimaldo who seems to be the name going around for LB.

I feel an exodus from Arsenal coming soon. Can't see Sanchez and Ozil spending anymore of their prime floating in mediocrity. I think some young players such as Bellerin will follow.

Barca is almost impossible to beat when it comes to players going back, but for some reason I have a good feeling about Bellerin joining a young up and coming team like City to come in and immediately replace aging fullbacks. He will get a chance to see us play, and hopefully impress, more than twice this season vs Arsenal.

Arsenal are in a very precarious situation at the moment IMO with Wenger heading for the exit door and Ozil and Sanchez not renewing their contracts, and now big interest in Bellerin.

I'm not sure how many will fancy sticking around if Wenger leaves, and if they lost the big 2 then there'd be big trouble.

Since none of our ageing full back are pulling up trees at the moment you would think that if they were good enough they would get a chance. My fear is that they may not be up to scratch to play at the highest level. It would be interesting if we could go back to play the Spuds game again with Garcia, Maffeo and Angelino replacing Fernando, Kolo and Zab. However, you could just imagine the howls of derision there would be if we lost 2-0 again and the kids got the blame. Personally I would play them but if I was the manager I might be forced to think very differently.

interesting that Barcelona are reportedly in talks with Valencia about their right back Joao Cancelo (highly rated, been linked with us in the past)

could this leave the pathway open for a move for Bellerin?

Quite right. It could get very ugly very quickly unless the club handle the situation more skilfully than they've done in the last decade.

Got a feeling Wenger might take the England job this time (in the summer) and big changes will be afoot at Arsenal.

If Arsenal do their usual under-performing and Barca aren't interested then I think we are well placed to sign him in the summer. I think Arsenal will try very, very hard to keep him, their manta now is they don't have to sell anyone anymore and they certainly don't want to sell to us.
