Here we go ...

People won't believe the bible but are 100% certain there are other intelligent life forms in the universe and wont have it any other way

Nobody should be 100% certain until there's definitive proof but anybody with half a brain realises that it's highly probable. The proof it's possible is us being here, water being elsewhere and many planets found orbiting near by stars. Add in the factor of how big the known universe is and it's hard to imagine it not happening elsewhere.

The proof that there's a God is: 0.

But you speak balderdash.

On current evidence we are indeed alone.

See, right on cue

Right okay...

We're here, an intelligent life form, so it's possible. We've already discovered that there are other planets habitable zone the same size as Earth. We've already discovered that water can and is on other planets, so we know the building blocks needed are there. In the grand size of the universe it's probable these things have come together to create life. It's not certain, but it's probable considering it's already happened.

Now nobody can prove if there is a God or not, but certainly the Gods depicted in the holy books on this planet at this time are incorrect and do not exist. Because, there's so many contradictions and irregularities in those books for it to be the work of a God.

Neither is 100% truth or false yet but I know which one I'd bet on to exist.

Are you sure?

There is one simple test to say whether there is a god or not. If there was he would never have made cockernees ergo there is no god end of.

(That's 'cos you didn't induct me into the 100 greatest thread)

Really?

Please refer us to an article that shows of the discovery of an earth sized planet in the goldilocks zone.

You seem to know of one.

yep

- Adam and Eve is Hebrew for man and woman.....IT IS NOT LITERAL

- The talking snake is poetry,

open your mind just a little....you can still hate religion!

So the bible is just metaphorical?

And so we aren't to take the Adam & Eve story literally?

What about the bible's views on gay folk? You take that literally don't you Mr Vicar?

What is it? A metaphor for how to live your life or the word of God?

Can't have it both ways.

"Today, NASA announced a new milestone in Kepler’s survey of the heavens — the confirmation of Kepler 62e and 62f as existing planets within the habitable zone of their parent star, Kepler 62. These discoveries are remarkable; this is the first time we’ve confirmed planets roughly the same size as Earth orbiting in the Goldilocks Zone. Kepler 62e is 1.61x Earth’s size and orbits every 122 days, while Kepler 62f is 1.41x Earth-size and orbits every 267 days".

All the stories in the bible occurred pretty much in the same part of the world.
Seems odd that god didn't involve more of his fabulous creation...

So 3 inhabitable planets yet how many lifeforms were also identified? Zero

Moving the goalposts there, John.

The question was whether earth-like planets had been found in the habitable zone around other stars.

That was answered.

I mentioned intelligent life forms elsewhere of which there is as much evidence of as there is God.
