Heroes - Bowie tribute @ Everton game

wumming is against forum rules, so fuck off.
no wumming here - I was NOT a fan of Bowie and nor do I see why anybody goes and puts f*cking musicians up on pedestals as the most important people in their lives when they were younger (and naiver), its bollocks

Just revisited heroes as not listened to it for a while, my god what a maudlin melancholy song it is, why on earth would anyone want to hear that as the boys come out of the tunnel, far too dour.
I know. And Bluemoon is a right old laugh.

Could understand if he was a Mancunian or a City fan but there's absolutely no link to City whatsoever. I'm going to a football match tonight, not a Bowie tribute show. Bluemoon as usual.

Maybe it is too much of a personal thing, for city to come out to a Bowie song.
But I think the club will play a Bowie song at some point tonight, and that will be enough for me and I'm sure it will enough for all the other Bowie and city fans there tonight.
