Kelvin MacKenzie now apologises for The Sun's Hillsborough mistake.

Just a bit late!
Kelvin Mackenzie is a toilet of a human being.
MacKenzie hasn't learned anything
new today about the disaster and
about those lies. He's just learned that
he's got no excuses left.
Spot on. I'd bitchslap the **** if I ever met him. But I suppose that's a poor reflection on me too.

In_good_kompany, just wanted to say that you're a despicable human-being. I'll be off, now.
I'd just like to apologise for people like him. They aren't representative of the majority of City fans (which we now doubt he is).

Like so many, I believed the lies of the police until I got pulled up & decided to read up for myself a few years ago. The more I learned, the more I investigated and it was quite clear even from the available evidence that there had been a cover-up.

Since then I've tried to educate other City fans and have written about it on here and in King of the Kippax. Today has vindicated my efforts but particularly those of the victims' families.

I've just been having a look at the documents released in the panel's online archive.

It's like a punch to the guts: witness statements from fans and emergency services personnel, other doctored statements, original police notes, newspaper cuttings, photographs (which I don't care to see again)... the scale of this is grotesque.

At least now no-one has any excuse to perpetuate the lies of the past.

Some of the so called City fans on this thread are a disgrace to our club and this forum. Finally the families know the truth and their loved ones may finally rest in peace.

For the families and friends who have never wavered in their fight for justice I am made up for them as today gave credence to their fight. The one thing that has united everton / liverpool fans in recent years is our support for them. As an evertonian like most I knew fans or family who tragically died at or were affected by hillsborough. All football fans have done their bit and I know that the families have always respected and valued this support. For the government to apologise in such way speaks volumes for the body of evidence they were confronted with.

As today proved though they were victims that day and have been ever since in regards to Hillsborough

And that gives them a right to be victims about everything else does it?
They paid the price that day for previous hooliganism at the time, which is a geat shame, but thats the way it was, though the coverup afterwards was nothing short of shocking

So all the people that died had previously been involved in hooliganism?

Total bollocks.

Unbelievable that it seems around 40 fans could have survived if treated at the scene. Beggars belief.

Does anyone else think the FA are getting off very, very lightly here? Quite clear that the stadium was never fit to host a game of this magnitude

Unreserved apologies are all well and good but I think if it had been one of my relatives who had died, this would be too little, too late and I would take no comfort from them whatsoever.
