No fuckin way is that twat a City fan. Probably one of red issues cabbages.

Twats are twats, no matter who they support.

Yet to meet a united fan that isn't a twat, and I've met a lot.

If you are born a raging twat, the chances are you'll become a united fan.

Probably the most nonsense i've ever read on here. One of my best mates supports United and he's a diamond, and i'm sure many others will be able to say the same about their respective friends. I know a few absolute bell ends who are City fans, United fans and indeed Oldham fans too, just like I know some absolute belting lads who support those clubs.

Unbelievable that it seems around 40 fans could have survived if treated at the scene. Beggars belief.

Does anyone else think the FA are getting off very, very lightly here? Quite clear that the stadium was never fit to host a game of this magnitude

Unreserved apologies are all well and good but I think if it had been one of my relatives who had died, this would be too little, too late and I would take no comfort from them whatsoever.

On the contrary I actually believe that the length of time can only give added poignance to the validation for some of the families. There must have been times during the last 23 years when they thought all was lost. However, I do understand what you mean.
And I agree that the potential survival rate is absolutely shocking. Forget the negligence angle, that's worthy of a charge of manslaughter.

Whatever the outcome, those poor people who were killed and those that had to witness the tragedy at close quarters will never be the same. Apology or not.

I remember watching it unfold on telly, it was and still is a horrible tragedy.

You must have shit for brains. Whatever we all think about the Scouse victim mentality it's quite clear that the Hillsborough families were totally justified in pursuing their campaign.

Really I am ashamed of posters on here still able to qualify what happened by blaming it on the fans, even after today, it beggars belief

unfortunately though I have had it at first hand today
talking to two colleagues, both Liverpool fans, about justice at last and what should be the next step when the secretary interrupted and repeated the age old lies, "it was the drunken Liverpool fans who caused the deaths, always was always will be.
She's supposed to be a football fan as she still thinks its the shit the media spouted all those years ago. Her attitude was quite shocking, even for the bitterest rag, i really didn't think they could stoop that low.

Well I'll hold my hands up and admit to some pretty uninformed comments on here in the past. I put a large portion of blame onto the fans (not the 96) and I was wrong to do so, I fell for the Police cover up.
I've been sickened by the some what has come to light today and I hope those in SYP who were involved in altering statements are brought to account.

I have never condoned violence, but she deserves her face absolutely stoving in for saying that. A battering so remorseless even dental records wouldn't help identify the woman.
