Hobbies for the middle aged man

I tried learning guitar but I found it too uncomfortable and physically difficult. I changed to learning piano, and whilst I'm not at all good, it is much more comfortable and I am enjoying learning to read music.
I’ve started to learn piano. The better half, who plays a number of instruments, is teaching me. I hated learning to read music at school, but have also found it enjoyable this time around.

Even if you get fed up with reading music, there's plenty of people on YouTube you can watch to pick up any songs that you are after.

I've been noodling with both Neil Young's 'Journey through the past' and Ocean Colour Scenes 'Past past midnight'...........

I picked up banjo in lock down and have carried on. My next project is producing music. I’ve slowly assembled all the bits which was a project in itself. Im on with a free OU music reading course at the mo which is defo helping. When I stopped drinking I realised why folk have hobbies.

Reading music is very satisfying.
I learnt it when I was 19 and it's a skill I've had immense enjoyment from.
