We arrived last night. Easy train from the airport. ICE to Mannheim (End destination on the one we used was Basel) then most local trains went through Heidelberg. Time for an explore this morning .
Brilliant.... Is it warm? ;-)
You forgot to mention it has WiFi too.Sadly no sun this morning but it's not freezing either and a small jacket will suffice.Supposed to pick up for the afternoon but typically Thursday will see us back in the 20's.Folk are asking about Flixbus from Frankfurt airport which runs direct to Heidelburg that only cost us 6 euro each. The journey is direct taking 65 minutes..Buses are high tech and posh with onboard toilets.Information on the Flixbus website. After leaving the airport turn right and walk for five minutes and the coach station is on your left.As Mr Flower mentioned look out for the green logo.
A nice walk down philosophers walk this morning to clear the head of wheet beer or weissebeir and contemplate the days shenanigans.Danke.
Anyone know of any buses running from Frankfurt
The Hessenticket would have been cheaper - 35 EUR - and it covers everything, too - as your match ticket includes the trains in the VRN-area and Hessen directly ends at the VRN.
35 EUR for up to five people... ;)
We are having one in the Dubliner at the moment. Been up the castle this morning .
Probably head towards MarketplatzJust left the Shloss booking office and will visit Wednesday.Shloss is castle in German and if anyone has seen the film Where Eagles Dare then the castle Burton and Eastwood impregnated in that cable car was called the Shloss Adler. They have a deal for 7 euros that includes the cable car and the Schloss entrance so tip top value..Just sat in Marketplatz having a few scoops of Pils.
