You sure about this mate? Do u have an link for me to book this train? 8 of us looking for travel.

Just works like this if you go tomorrow before or after the match as it covers only the part of the trip that you do in Hessen. But - your match ticket covers the trains you go in the VRN region - that directly starts at the border from Hessen to Württemberg. If you want to go from Frankfurt to Heidelberg/Sinsheim another day you probably better take the Germany ticket of the bahn or other possibilities.

You have to take away the tick at the "prefer fast connections" box !!! - It will give you some possibilities.

Start: Frankfurt am Main Flughafen (if you start main train station you have to take "Frankfurt (Main) HbF"
Destination: Directly prior to the match Sinsheim (Museum/Arena) or if you stop over in Heidelberg - "Heidelberg HbF"

The Hesse ticket you can book online here: https://fahrkarten.bahn.de/privatku...0_REGIO-LAENDERTICKETS-KARTE-HESSEN_LZ03#stay (click "in the basket" - then you come to a page in which you have to add the Reisedatum - travelling date - they somehow haven't translated all words...) - but you can get it at the machines in Frankfurt as well as the ticket offices they probably have there (as big as Frankfurt Main Flughafen railstation is I believe they still have a ticket office there that offers help.

Conditions for the Hesse ticket:
  • Tour a state of your choice on local and regional services for a whole day.
  • Travel with up to four fellow passengers
  • From Monday to Friday from 09:00 until 03:00 on the following day
  • On weekends and on public holidays the ticket is valid from midnight
------------------------------------

The Germany ticket costs:
1 person travelling: EUR 44
2 persons travelling: EUR 52
3 persons travelling: EUR 60
4 persons travelling: EUR 68
5 persons travelling: EUR 76
For that trip it probably is cheaper to book the normal fare if you go with more than 2 persons.

There is many possibilities. Taking the fast trains (ICE) from Frankfurt to Heidelberg costs about 20 EUR one way for one person.

Thanks mate

Queues to get through security are impressively long, even by Manchester Airport standards.

Absolute jokers running this airport

Went to Marketplatz, no sign of you or other blues, then went for a walk along the river and then up the main street and passed quite a few pissed up blues staggering along.
Then got interviewed by a young blonde girl for German TV for the game tomorrow

Not too far away (to the South East is Nordlinger Ries which is the site of an impact basin (an asteroid hit the earth around 15 million years ago) and the medieval walled City of Ries is within the crater) and then slightly further to the South East is the Solnhofen limestone where there are some beautifully preserved fossils including archaeopteryx which lived around 150 million years ago.....a bird. This marked the evolution of birds from dinosaurs. I visited the Ries crater in March or April. My memory of the area is that it was very wealthy.

Some background: Hoffenheim is small - but it is part of the Rhine-Neckar Metropolitan Region

Have you visited the Grube Messel https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Messel_pit - as you seem to be into that topic?
