Fair play, not sure I could risk that many bookings with the situation we find ourselves in! Good luck with them all
 
Jet2 have extended Canary Islands holiday cancellations, now not due to restart their programme until 26th September (though wouldn't be surprised to see it pushed back further)
 
Anyone know what happens to flight bookings if the airline is to still fly to Greece despite the new rules stating...

"The Foreign, Commonwealth & Development office (FCDO) advise against all but essential travel to the islands of Lesvos, Tinos, Serifos, Mykonos, Crete, Santorini and Zakynthos"

Got a mate due out this week and Jet2 are saying flights are still going ahead. Guessing this means he has no chance of getting a refund?

He won't get a refund but should be able to change his flight without any admin fee, but will need to pay any uplift in price.

Disappointing if Jet2 are still operating the flights.
I know some flights will go out to bring back holidaymakers, but they should really be cancelling services regardless of if its a package or flight only.

Our weekend in Crete is still technically live so gonna sit on that until we know either way.

The COVID figures on the islands are a joke, if the Gov are saying that us travelling to Santorini/Mykonos etc is a threat to UK public health then using that criteria no-one should be leaving their house.

Incompetent fuckers.

Mate has just texted me saying he spent an hour and twenty on the phone to get through to Jet2 only to be told no chance of a refund at the moment.

Needs to hope that flights are cancelled in order to get a refund. He was offered Kos for the same dates but would have to pay £173 extra.
 
Well after three aborted booking to Majorca and no sight of any loosening up there I have booked Ölüdeniz in Turkey for first week of Oct, booked with Jet2 as they have been pretty much spot on with my other failed booking this year with refunds and info

Ah right, yeah he needs to wait for Jet2 to cancel them (which they should do if the FCO advice is against travel)
At the moment they have only cancelled through to 20th Sept for Crete/Zante so they will likely announce further cancellations next week if nothing has changed.

I thought in your initial comment that Jet2 had cancelled flights but only offered credit, my bad haha

Squeaky bum time for those of us with things booked :)
