- We went to Rotherham…
Unless you do a campsite there is nothing for kids in St Malo.Thinking about venturing abroad for the first time in our motor home, got 3 weeks in August, Tesco club card points will pay for the tunnel so from calais I haven't got a clue where is worth going, 2 adults 2 kids aged 12 and 13 to entertain and a daft dog, been looking at St. Malo which looks nice
There are plenty of campsites in Brittany but prebook. I wouldn’t take a chance on just turning up. Also in France you can only park up in a motor home at designated sites.
Northern Brittany tends to have rocky coastlines with some nice beaches but Southern Brittany has better sand beaches. We used to go to this campsite regularly years ago. The kids loved it.

Don’t forget you will need the new certificate for dog travel at £150 from your U.K. vet since the end of dog passports and technically you cannot take dog food with you since Brexit if it contains any meat produce but we chance it and have never had a problem.
