I have a point, we are in the fortunate position of being able to employ some of the Worlds best football brains who can work as a team, who collectively can maybe come up with better decisions than just one man. Who ever is chosen as manager maybe needs to embellish this and grow with it, perhaps this is the way forward. Im certainly not going to abandon ship, I am confident the owners want the same as we do, without them this would all be a distant dream !

The most successful managers in English football in my lifetime have tended to be abrasive characters - Shankley, Revie, Clough, Paisley, fergiscum, Mourinho etc, not sure any of them could be described as fitting into a "holistic" set up<br /><br />-- Tue May 14, 2013 9:16 am --<br /><br />

Which is exactly how a modern club should be run....
The idea that for every new manager that comes in, that he needs to be given "complete control", is ridiculous. This creates the scenario, on his sacking, where a complete overhaul of playing staff needs to occur.... The club needs to create its own personality and bring in people who are willing to mold into this. I really like the direction the club is going.
