Holistic approach

Whose job is it to decide whether to loan players out?

Suarez should of been on loan a long while ago.

I'm fed up of everyone saying Mancini should have gave youth more of a chance.
He signed and played our best centre back this season -19 years old.

If EDS players has been good enough, they would have played, no doubt about it. The fact is they are not good enough and not ready for the Premier league. That's not Mancini's fault!

you cant really count nastastic as giving youth a chance, he was already a starter for fiorentina and an international. If we buy varane whos 19 it does not mean we are giving youth a chance.

Mancini barely ever played or gave youth players a chance, on the pitch or on the bench

What chance did he have risking untested young players whilst trying to win major trophies and keep his own job

plenty of games where he could have given them a chance, the fa cup games for example with games agaisnt barnsley and leeds where we were 3- 0 up in no time.

Very good point missed by many of us and all of the media and Pfa

it appears because our owners have spent billions on the club the supporters cannot challenge any decision they make , being called "drama queens" etc , because true supporters believe the club has made the wrong decision , apparently this is not acceptable . Well fuck that , Mancini has been unfairly treated considering the contribution he made , thats my opinion , and looking at the bluemoon poll , I believe the opinion of the majority of match going supporters. It doesn't lessen the feelings I have for the club or makes me disloyal , just disappointed , because Mancini is a very very good manager , I hope we don't live to regret the decision by the Spanish inquisition.
This is completely right.. Well said.

Fucking "Holistic approach"!!!

Absolute fucking disgrace. "Holistic approach" translated means Txiki picks the formations, the players and the manager.

Mancini refused to be his puppet and got the bullet. Now enter some sap, probably "people's person" Pelligrini who puts out the cones and is called a head coach.

Absolutely disgusted at the club.

Seems about right, but it may well work and as another poster said if we get YES men Pellegrini/ benitez in that fits the bill. But it could well work and if its Mourhino its bollox. Wont be mo though with tixi at the helm.

If "Holistic approach" does mean a change to the Barca shaped 433 throughout the club, I think it causes numerous short term and long term problems.

Short term - We will need a drastic overhaul of the first team squad. Numerous current players have no natural position in Barca's current shape - Barry, Milner, Aguero, Dzeko, SInclair don't fit naturally in to that shape. Assuming Silva and Nasri will play as atacking wingers and Yaya holding, we need 2 world class players for the Xavi and Iniesta roles. Should only set us back about 100m.

Long term - producing players who are only comfortable playing in one system leaves you at a huge disadvantage. Makes it far harder to change shape when needed and completely inflexible. Also, the Bayern vs Barca semi final made it look like their 433 had finally been figured out. Trust City to adopt this "holistic approach" 3 weeks later!

mancini is gone. the spanish duo are not. backing mancini over them at this point is anti-City

not many mangers play that formation. Pellegrini dont Mou dont,KLupp dont.

I doubt the rumours about playing 433 are true. The are ridiculous and the link is only being made because Barcelona play it. Any idiot can see a manager is in charge of the team and tactics not the board.
