Home hi fi.

Lyngdorf TDAI-1120.

Yout room is the biggest influence on the sound you hear and Lyngdorf's Room Perfect room correction system is the best there is guaranteeing great results in any room.

Works great with all speakers but if you fancy using smaller speakers and a subwoofer the way the Lyngdorf ties them together is anazing.

Mines an old one mate, it's not even Bluetooth. Has a wire out the front.
It's no where near loud enough.
Okay. Volume and quality is impressive on both if that's what you're looking for.

Naim muso, brilliant bit of kit.
I use my own server with flac files and it sounds fantastic, as does tidal.
It sounds decent with mp3 files but it is only as good as the source.
It's good with internet radio as well.
Not sure about Bluetooth as never tried it.

Some good suggestions here, thanks all.
Need to do a bit of research as most of the kit mentioned I'm completely clueless about!
Cheers

I listen to a lot of music, mostly at work through buds, and in the car.
But since getting rid of my separates years ago, all my home listening is done through my Bose speaker.
I don't buy music anymore (not in the traditional sense) so I don't need a CD player, a tuner or a turntable.
What do you recommend for a home system? I just want to be able to play my spotty stuff through a half decent set up.
Cheers
I'm in the same boat as you. In the interests of domestic harmony, I got rid of my separates and Mission speakers years ago. All the music I talk about in the music threads, I listen to either through headphones or my Bose Soundlink. Recently, as I work mostly at home, I've been thinking that there must be a better way to listen to music through a set of desktop speakers and I've come up with the following (I know @Bill Walker has already mentioned Edifier and they seem to get good reviews). Got a few things on next week but I intend to buy these in a week or so:-

You won't regret it, great little speakers. I've got that model.

Good to know, cheers Bill. I’ve been looking into it for a few weeks now and I nearly had to dismiss these because of desk space (I have extra test equipment and laptops on and around my desk). However, I was delighted to find out that I’d been looking at the Amazon package dimensions, and the footprint of each speaker will fit nicely. I’ll let you know how I get on when I get around to buying them.

They look just the job, not too pricey either.
Thanks bud

For a bit of an off the wall suggestion, how about a Chinese DAC with Bluetooth - something like a SABAJ A20d and a pair of Genelecs, like the 8020D's. Or 8030's if your room is bigger.

Genelecs are used in many of the top studios to master the music in the first place, so the sound from them is ridiculously good, with incredible transparency and clarity.
