Home hi fi.

For a bit of an off the wall suggestion, how about a Chinese DAC with Bluetooth - something like a SABAJ A20d and a pair of Genelecs, like the 8020D's. Or 8030's if your room is bigger.

Genelecs are used in many of the top studios to master the music in the first place, so the sound from them is ridiculously good, with incredible transparency and clarity.
Genelecs are clinical, sure, but studio gear often struggles in a domestic environment unless you use them as nearfield monitors at relatively low SPL.

I'm in the same boat as you. In the interests of domestic harmony, I got rid of my separates and Mission speakers years ago. All the music I talk about in the music threads, I listen to either through headphones or my Bose Soundlink. Recently, as I work mostly at home, I've been thinking that there must be a better way to listen to music through a set of desktop speakers and I've come up with the following (I know @Bill Walker has already mentioned Edifier and they seem to get good reviews). Got a few things on next week but I intend to buy these in a week or so:-

My sister asked me to recommend some cheapish bluetooth speakers and Edifier is what I came up with.
I haven't listened to them but she says they are great.

We have a sonos system, A sound bar and two paired sonos ones, its amazing, we listen to music via spotify and the TV cinema surround sound thru it. The only issue i have is that you cannot add more than two sonos one speakers to a sound bar, thats the limit. Seems odd but thats the three in total is the limit.

Quite happy putting tv through my Muso here.
But I don’t use Bluetooth.
It’s shite.

These are very well reviewed. All in one stereo solution
