Home to Swansea - Signal of Intent

Just got alot of respect from Saggers on TS, who was interviewing Rogers. He also paid us huge respect. 'Ive just climbed one mountain, (Kilimanjaro), then got a text we were away at Man City, which is like climbing 2 mountains!'.
5-0 City, with a performance which will have MOTD drooling.

It's never easy to play newly promoted sides in the early weeks of a season , but Swansea at home?

Yeah , we've got to be lookin' at winning that .......

even a draw would be a major disappointment!

Can't wait, it should be great.

We have better players than them but they are one of the best 'teams' in the country. Swansea it's worth noting though are shocking away from home.

They're not a team who would park the bus, and those are the teams that have given us problems in the past, so we should be able to see a lot of the ball and create lots of chances. I predict that the game will be the 12:30 Saturday kickoff - and we will be top of the prem when the other teams kick off at 3pm.

Their passing style could be made to order for us, whilst they keep the ball a lot, most of it is at the back and goalkeeper.

Tevez running about back there and our team pressing forward on them will make it a lot less effective.

Surely we sould be looking at newly promoted teams, and considering the talent at our disposal, plus any new signings, and thinking we should stuff this lot!

It's called a winning mentality.

That's what the Rags have been passing their arrogance off as for years.

Lets go back to start of the 02/03 season. 2nd game of the season was newcastle who were 4th the previous year. What would you reaction have been if they had announced it as a dream fixture and how they were were going to show everyone they mean business this year? You would've most likely have called them arrogant tossers and you would've been right, we won that game 1-0. As another psoter pointed out Burnley and United. What do you think the Burnley fans thought of United fans claiming that they were going to kick start their season at turf moor? One of the many reason we loathe the Rags is due to that attitude, lets not develop a sense of believing we deserve to win because we have a more expensive squad and we are better on paper.
