In terms of homegrown centre midfielders, it's probably between Schneiderlin, Song and Barkley now.

Song looks he's on the verge of signing for West Ham and I think we'd be looking at a massive fee for Barkley.

Schneiderlin would probably cost about £25 million, but he may be our only option.

James McCarthy would be the next best option, was a very good player at Wigan and has continued his progression. Has a lovely pass and is not afraid to get stuck in. Ran the game against the scum.

Because he plays for Everton thus would cost us 25 million.

I like him though, better player than Delph.

Everton have just got Cleverley, so will hopefully be reasonable with the fee.
