i agree ,i know someone who has bought seasoncards for the last 4 years for his son and him self west yorkshire, and has not missed a game at home ,also he has been to most away gamess.but still never got a ticket for the final. he managed,to get semi tickets within his points e had ,but cannot get the tickets for the final.glory hunters going to the final and not proper fans.

not really... a lot of fans being rewarded for having season tickets through the mcneil/frizzell/machin/kendal/clarke/coppell/ etc etc years. we deserve a fucking medal let alone a cup final ticket

Weren't loyalty points then though were there?

What?
So all us that had enough points, built up over years, to get a final ticket are not " proper" fans?

Had a season ticket 1985 to 1997 Never missed a home game (12 Years)

Worked at the club 1998 to 2008 Never missed a home game (10 Years)

2008- to now season ticket holder Never missed a home game (4 years)

Been to every cup game at home, been to the semi v the rags.

Because I worked my arse off for the club I did not accrue enough points to get a final ticket.

Some on here who could not be arsed with earlier rounds of the cup and even could not be arsed going to the semi have got final tickets.

It stinks.

So why would you not accumulate points whilst you was working your arse off for the club!!
Why did you not purchase a season tickets tallying up the points along the way!!
or Did you get freebie tickets by any chance for the home games!!
Can’t see why you would have given up your season ticket from all those years otherwise!!!

I know for a fact that the office staff gets freebies for home games...
maybe you should have been buying a season ticket when you worked there.... so its not really becouse you worked your arse off for the club why you have not gort the points is it?
only one person to blame for your lack of points you cant even blame the likes of me (the lazy fooker who could not be arsed going to the early rounds!!) i buy my ticket year in year out......... Stinks = my lazy none cup game going arse.....

I was working match days, sometimes got to see the whole match sometimes not, I worked Voluntarily and did not get paid. Certainly did not get any free tickets. Dont know how you can claim that "you know for a fact" that staff get free tickets.

Me and my lad have been ever present this year in all competitions including the pre-season friendly against Valencia.

I have a final ticket, my lad has not. But he did get one for the Semi through my points on the Junior Scheme. I am gutted for both him and myself, but can understand the clubs stance (well to an extent).

Ack, they do my head in a bit these threads.

Obv the OP and many thousands more are disappointed and a lot of people feel they were deserving of a ticket but it's just not feasible given the allocations.

You can't say a season ticket holder who has been for years who may have missed the Leicester/Reading game cos his missus had a baby the day before shouldn't then qualify for the Final.

People always have reasons that are legit to them for missing games, even if it's just "can't afford it, can't afford the time away from the family, or just don't want to go."

If they have built up enough LP to give them a cushion of that then good for them. They have done the hard graft.

There's no perfect criteria, sorry you missed out on a ticket. But I doubt you went to all those games because you thought it would get you a Final ticket. You went cos you're a fan and wanted to, and let's face it, lucky enough to be able to do so.

Your time will come my friend.

Ever since being a seasoncard holder I have been on the Cup Scheme as it's a quick way of getting loyalty points quick to move up the ladder. With going to the amount of away games I do, I can easily get 600+ a season.

I knew I would have put the work in when I became a seasoncard holder so that when Finals arose, I would be in line to get a ticket and that's exactly what happened. I froze my gonads off at Newcastle on Boxing Day so that I could get a ticket for Wembley.
