I was there that day! remember fans running along a platform separating the tier’s in the main stand trying to attack the directors box?! The good old days :)I definitely remember the "Sack the Board" game.
2-0 win at St Andrews in 88-89. They were doomed to relegation to the third tier, and there was a protest mid-match where some of the home fans attempted to storm the Directors Box.
Once McNab had extended our lead with a floating curving shot (accelerated by a strong wind) the City contingent were happy to support the Brummies.
Even now, I think many older City fans can identify with Birmingham's self inflicted farce and capacity for implosion.
