Think this is from the Trafford Tinkers game vs Cardiff City in 1974 (recognise the bus station in front of Cardiff's main railway station).
There was a ton of trouble as Cardiff fans from all over the South East Wales area turned out to face the infamous Red Army.
There are several articles from Cockney Reds etc. documenting the off the field antics...

I went to lots of away games back in the day. If you wanted trouble, you could find it, if you wanted to avoid it, you could.

I remember the Wolves crew running past me when I had my head down after we'd lost 5-0 to them and one of them bumped into me. He couldn't have been more apologetic if he'd tried.

It was there if you wanted it, but most just walked on by and let them get on with it. It all seems a bit exaggerated now.

I can't say I saw anything much to write home about apart from a few lads running around and a few bricks being thrown at trains on the way home after the game.

That was my experience of it anyway.

I never got my head kicked in. I didn't have my colours on show, went in the wrong end on occasion, but I never had any bother.

It may be me, but I've never had an urge to attack anyone just because they support a team that plays in a different coloured shirt.

Wrong bloke mate he didn't live in Gorton that was Mick who lived on Hyde road just after the bridge who also looked like Bulldog who later said he supports Liverpool.
Mick (Tommo) lived at the top of Far Lane across the road from the Waggon....DGR Crombie Boys Rule OK.

Paddy the puff ? Wore a pink leather jacket hard as fuck remember him at wolves stood in the middle of them taking on all comers

Those pubs reminded me of when I got off at Victoria Staion in the early 70's, the word was United were waiting and this big mob about 100 were singing,E for B and Langely. So I was young and follwed them for safety reasons. They cut across some waste land and there it was a Police car parked up.
They promptly set about rocking it I think it was empty anyway the flicked it onto its roof and headed for town. I let them go there way lol.
