Hooliganism and Violence Maine Road 80's/early 90's

Yes. Loads of songs about violence back then. With a few minutes to go before the end of the game to the away fans, "It's time for you to run, it's time for you to run, it's time for you to run.....so fuck off!"
Also, "You'll never make the station!"
The famous, "You're going home in a fucking ambulance!"
Then there was the we are evil chant. Also, "You're going to die, you're going to fucking die" repeated a few times. Happy days lol.
Beat em in the head with a baseball bat...The Ramones

Just been sent this was at this match 500, there was thousands of them..

I was there that day when Spurs charged from the back of the kippax. They definitely took us by surprise but got battered within a couple of minutes - remember them jumping on to the pitch to get away. It’s bollocks for Spurs to say it was 3pm…unless my memory is playing tricks, the Kippax was half empty my guess would be it was around half an hour/20 mins before kick off. They wouldn’t have got near at 3o’clock !

Spot on ...I was towards the front of the Kippax 20 mins before kick off and they were climbing over to the pitch to get back towards Platt Lane end, I saw a couple of them get absolutely battered before the police got to them.
I was 14 or 15 and was my first real experience of football violence, in later years was caught up in some pretty close escapes at Leeds , Liverpool Everton Stoke Cardiff.....and that Fa cup tie at Newcastle was horrible around 77 ish.
