how are older blues handling this?

i would say my age group 35-40, has had the most heart ache of any othercity fans. i was 2 when we last won a trophy so ive seen jack shit ever since!!!

slightly older and you remember the good times, slightly younger and this is just how it is, misery, supporting city so it hasnt affected you quite the same(yet)!

but my age, we just missed the trophy winning games, so near but yet so far. all this (extremely mild) hint of a very small possibilty of success is making me feel sick!!! i cant handle it. we're in the running for kaka ffs!!!

i'm so giddy its untrue but then there is a small part of me that is scared!! that make sense?

I'm 41 & still can't quite believe this is all happening. The amount of shit i'm getting in work from Rags & Scouser fans makes it even more worthwhile.
It's quite obvious they are all shitting bricks that we can finally compete at the top table of the game.
It might all end in tears but i tell you what, i'm going to enjoy every second of this mad trip along the way.

46.

Nothing new in all of this. We've broken transfer records before. Only the amounts involved have got slightly bigger. We've regularly been one of the top sides in the country and only mismanagement of the club during the boom years of the Premier League has exagerrated the difference between us and them. The time has come to reclaim our rightful position.

Like a kid in a sweetshop. Bring it on.

45 nerves are shot, too many late nights, had too many downs with City and I am by nature thanks to my team a miserable shit..I dont think I could cope with being happy, but for the good of the team I;ll have a go....

this just about sums it up for me >>>

Very rationally. It doesn't really matter now that I was 7 when we beat Leicester or I was 14/15 when Dennis's overhead kick went in.

What matters is that WE WILL WIN A MAJOR TROPHY IN MY LIETIME.

A year ago I could not have said this only hoped for it. Again very rationally i shall explain.

We have all heard about this "rubbing Balls" business - now lets have a look in a Crystal Ball for two years time at the major players in the Premiership.

Taggert no longer Manager but stood over the shoulder of Moyes,O'Neill, etc and interfering.
Class of whatever year it was Giggs,Chucke and one eyed Ginger on the Golf Course.
Tranny at Real Madrid
Ferdinand turned thirty and slow and looking for one last pay deal
Granny Shagger (very overated) unsettled due to the above.

Terry (same as Ferdinand)
Cole and Cashley both living on past glories
Chelsea as a whole desperate to stay in the top 4

Arsene - - now Manager of Real Madrid or France
Cesc - the best player by far sitting on City's subs bench
Theo replacing Messi at Barcelona. guess where Lionel's gone ?

Benitez - Manager of Real Madrid or Spain
Gerrard - see Rooney,Terry and Ferdinand. Overrated, past it and looking for one last pay day
Torres - back in Spain because City bought someone better

This is the future. The future is Blue.

fucking bewildered

one bit of me thinks 100 million that's 10 years worth of a social services budget-it's obscene

the other bit of me thinks I can smirk at a rag forevermore, to be this much richer is hilarious
