How Come Chelsea Sign Ramires - No Sweat?

Neville, the only reason I bigged up my club in reply was because the post goaded me. The way I saw it was you were trying to say that Chelsea are nobodies, that nobody wants to play for, which I found to be quite rich considering City are in the exact same position but with more money, less time in the project and less recent success.

Now, switch that around, if I said that about City people would berate me whether that be on here or a Chelsea forum, and rightly so, City are on the verge of being title contenders, and shouldn't be considered lightly.

I wasn't goading you, I have no interest in doing so. I was asking the OP who was saying all of Chelsea's transfers seem to run smoothly as opposed to City's, why, if that's the case, those players linked & admired/coveted by Chelsea all failed to materialise. We tried to get some of them. If you don't try, you don't fail.

I was highlighting the point that if you go for big players you get difficult transactions & contrary to his suggestion, I think we are the club in the PL who's been most successful at negotiating them in recnt times. Then I got you, bigging up Chelsea. It seemed irrelevent.

I have no interest in arguing with it hence the reply.

I can see why you may have misunderstood my post & I have no problem at all with you posting on here & have never insulted you intentionally, I just didn't see what your post added to my question. Sorry for the misunderstanding. I respect your opinion & am not someone who hunts down opposing supporters (unless they're bigging up their clubs on here ;-)

As for City fans telling me what I can & can't say though: that'a a right load of great big sanctimonius hairy bollocks.

No probs anyway mate, all the best .

Are we that insecure about our own club that we have to treat anyone that contributes to the forum, be they fans of Villa, Chelsea, Everton or anyone else with such contempt and disrespect?

I don't think anyone will ever question how much we individually love City but surely we are all old enough and mature enough to respect that people have the very same feelings towards their own clubs. I, for one, like to read the views from the 'other side' as it were when it comes to debates abouts certain clubs, and as long as the poster is respectful to the fact that they are in another clubs forum then I don't see why they should be jumped upon in such an aggressive manner as what appears to have happened this summer

Read the post above & stop shit stirring. I've apologised to the bloke & you want to take it further? Goodie two shoes creepy crap like this makes me fucking sick.

Just wondered whether Fulham Road sees similarities in the way in which clubs and fans looked upon Chelsea when they got their money to what's happening to us now.

Yes, mate, it's identical but the whole 'you bought the league' thing is wrong. You cannot buy the league, you need a good foundation, the right team and the right management. Of course we wouldn't have the success without the money, but the balance needs to be right, it isn't simply a matter of spunking money up the walls. Real Madrid proved that last season. Manchester City could, but I think the success will come along because the balance seems more or less right.

It's really down to envy. If a Billionaire bought their club they wouldn't complain. I mean, I'm sure there were a few City fans that accused Chelsea of buying the league etc. but now are absolutely loving it.

...and Neville, don't worry man, a misunderstanding.

Don't see why you or him had to stick your nose in at all in the 1st place tbh. FR 32 misunderstood my post & thought I was having a go at Chelsea which I wasn't. I reacted by saying it was none of his business. He explained & I've apologised for the misunderstanding & you along with others are sticking your nose into a situation which two people have sorted amongst themselves in spite of your interference rather than because of it..

You've been as helpful as a hole in a parachute.

Ever thought that chelsea gave benfica the nod to sign him from cruzeiro in the first place, then to take him to chelsea at a later date.
