How do we resolve the Brexit mess?

If you look at any thread on any site on the Tories or Brexit they are always dominated by Tory haters and Remainers by about a 10-1 majority. If that reflects the real world population then I am afraid we have all been conned, and the two separate votes were a fraud and instead we should have Remained & had a Corbin Government.

If that’s nonsense, then the only other explanation is that Remainers and Tory haters are more gobby and venomous than those that voted Tory and Brexit who, now after the event, cannot be arsed arguing and are happy to keep quiet as they got what they wanted.

If you want an example of how it worked in reality then Miss Gobby herself Angela Rayner who Labour in their wisdom put forward to front the Media Campaign during the last Election debates thought it was a good idea to talk over any Tory taking part in the debate.

Her interruptions were always met with rousing cheers from her supporters which gave her more encouragement to keep doing it but silence from everybody else in the audience who perhaps thought she was being a little bit uncouth.

With such popularity she must have thought how did it all go so wrong.
That's because there are lots of reasons to hate Tories and Brexit.

Feel free to tell us why you love Tories and Brexit.

I am not bothered either way to be honest. I have never taken any decisions based on either who is running the Country or our position within the rest of the World. If anyone is expecting a politician of any persuasion to make a massive impact on their life they are in deep shit. As long as we cater for those who are physically or mentally not capable of looking after themselves, the rest of us have got to take personal responsibility and stop blaming everything wrong within their world on others. I find it keeps me sane.

so are you saying you would not be interested in a manifesto that promised say to sort the NHS out in the life of the next Parliament - to get inflation down and wages up particularly for the lowest paid - to make sure no kids went hungry - and to improve the standard and affordability of public transport? You see those are just a few of the things a responsible democracy would consider reasonable. Without then I don't care how physically and mentally capable you are its unlikely you would thrive and prosper in the manner you seem to think you would.

Do you honestly think that is going to be delivered. Who wouldn’t vote for it. The crunch always comes how is it going to be paid for. I could be really selfish and say I am at an age I will no longer be paying income tax so I can get all the benefits with no extra cost to me.
Please don’t say the rich will pay for everything, they won’t. It’s the poor sods on PAYE who always pick up the bill
Let’s borrow the money, won’t be paid back in my time and I have no kids to pick up the burden
But I am a realist and the rest of Society are just not prepared to pay to live in your so called Utopia

You see your jumping to conclusions. I have never said I do or did. I have just made sure through life that because whatever happens, I can do very little about it so I have put myself in a position it will have very little person impact. Then I don’t need to throw a tirade of abuse at it when whoever's Plan doesn’t work out.

You said you paid no heed to what anyone said when making your own choices - my question was simply if a party was promising lots of stuff some of which would benefit you are yours would you really just ignore it all in the belief that you and you alone are best placed to get the best outcome for yourself?

I mean ignore say promises on the NHS and pensions and you get on in a well paid job but then your old mum needs treatment and the only option is you to pay for her to go private at a cost of say £50k - then when she gets out she has other needs but hey the state shouldn't be helping there so you "top up" her pension to the tune of say £200 pw - see how small state fend for yourself I'm alright Jack is only a good choice for the top 1 or 2% of people who live in this country?

Nice one. I’m glad she won.
if she had "lost", then the entire cabal of right-wing supporting judiciary would face a shit-storm of dissent, verdicts from the past dragged up, inexplicable verdicts high-lighted, from the titanic to rwanda and all staions inbetween.
Social media has blunted the msm bayonets, accountability might even creep in to being a consideration instead of a myth.

Remember Ken Clarke reflecting in the House that the country had moved towards closer ties with its European partners as it struggled to come to terms with losing its Empire, especially the humiliation of Suez, and its lack of purpose in the world. It also resulted from it realizing that its counterparts were recovering faster economically by working more closely together. Plus ça change…

@Magicpole observes above that ‘time marches on’ but sometimes it marches backwards.
Time doesn’t march backwards. Idiots take us backwards, against the flow of progress, ignoring the facts and redefining what actually happened with a sense of empire lost we can rebuild it. Usually by thick cunts manipulated by puppet masters who gain even if the country is being fucked. Wave a flag, raise the spectre of the other fucking them up and like juicy gammon they are stuck in a backward looking roll to a time that was awful but they believe defined us.

Time waits for no ****, morons don’t realise that and try to cling on to a history devoid of the actual truth. The only people who think we were the good guys are living here and most don’t know what we got up to. Airbrushed out of our consciousness deliberately.
