So what happened to the Leave promise that we'd still be in a free trade zone from Iceland to the Russian border?I read the posts you try and rewrite whatever you want.
I miss proper cobblers. I'm just about old enough to remember one that actually still made cloggs.I love the fact you’re a door knocker who tries to get people to vote your way lol.
Cobblers!
The vast majority of remain voters never argued for the vote to be overturned. We argued that there should be a second referendum on any plan to leave, because when the vote was enacted there literally was no plan whatsoever. That has happened in many countries over the years and is totally democratic.Brexit was a huge mistake, one I’ve owned and admitted too but I find this statement a tad hypocritical I’m afraid given how the 48% demanded the wishes of the 52% just be ignored and the vote to leave overturned.
Had that happened any notion of harmony or compromise would have been entirely non existent and the damage far greater than anything leaving the EU imo.
To be fair, I know you was never one of those wanting that.
I agree. I think being a 'world power' is greatly overrated. Like an empire, it involves vast expenses and responsibilities without any worthwhile return except (possibly) an emotional one.To be honest I personally don't feel any need to be a world power. Plenty of countries our size seem quite happy and comfortable just getiing on with their own business. Think people thinking we were or should be a world power is what led to Brexit in the first place.

Once that promise turned out to be worthless, trying to reverse the vote was a perfectly sensible aim.
And the slower and more surreptitious it is, the further we fall from where we would have been had we remained. As Marr says I think it will be a slow surreptitious reintegration back into the single market
And made in Poland by a French/Dutch company.... that turned out to be black.
