How do we resolve the Brexit mess?

WTF is that all about!

Badenoch signs a memorandum of understanding with the State of Florida NOT a trade deal. Then a compliant press reports it as a $1.4 tr trade deal ignoring the fact that figure is not any trade deal at all but is in fact the GDP of the whole state !!!

If she thinks that we plebs are really that stupid and gullible that we will believe what she is saying, then she should go and look at the latest poll figures.
I sincerely hope that she is not that stupid and gullible that she believes what she herself is saying.

This thread has a lot of moaning and fierce 'I told you so' but it would be nice to come in here and read some answers/suggestions/news relating to the thread title. Since a bit of annoyance immediately following the vote I've not really had the strength of feeling shown in here and would rather focus on how we set our path as a country towards the best future we can without being part of the EU.

Why do you think there’s not many suggestions related to the thread title? After all there must be lots of ways we can realise the benefits of Brexit. Maybe you can kick us off

I think probably anyone sane who wanted Brexit knew there would be at least ten years of pain while the consequences worked themselves out. You are in the middle of that. In another decade all the effects will have been absorbed into the wider economy and things will be more stable.

Possibly :)

Better than before or worse? Who knows? It's not a meaningful comparison, comparing something that has happened with something that may have happened. And I suppose the answer depends on what your personal motivations anyway.

I said the best future without the EU, not the benefits of Brexit. We have a rubbish hand, but still need to make the most of it. I'm not sure how this thread contributes anything towards it, it's just full of bitter whining.

We all know what the best future entails but as neither of the prospective PM s will do it, it's a bit pointless. What we all know we need to do is rejoin the Single market / customs union. Trying to make the best of it without that is doing it with hand and legs tied behind our backs.

What about those Australian biscuits Johnson was waving about in front of us and citing as a major Brexit benefit?
