How do we resolve the Brexit mess?

The problem is - populism.

This vile excuse for politics tells you what you want to hear and promises simplistic solutions to complex problems.
Then when it finds delivery impossible, it blames everyone else. And I do mean everyone else. Because admitting it was all bollocks is not an option.

The rough equivalent is giving your mate a cheque for 25k when you've only got 500 in the bank. Then, when it bounces, blaming the bank, the Bank of England and the World Economic Forum.

The problem is a huge number of people (voters) want to believe bollocks as it makes them feel good. And they are happy to blame half of creation for the bollocks not working, not themselves for believing bollocks in the first place.

Populism is popular because social media reduced the complex issues to bite size chunks. Great for engaging the masses in politics, but also turns every issue into an x-factor or strictly type vote.

Just fucking seen that although I've ignored the op (who I don't want to block as I don't mind the fella, just think he's a knob for politics), BM has now put another poster as the op so I've got to ignore them as well. Shit state of affairs.

Fucking sort this bollocks out.

Was told told that the only way to not see a thread was to block the op. Great idea as there are threads that are just full of bollocks, this being one. So I blocked the Op on this thread. However it's started to appear again.

Think he’s blaming you for some witchcraft that has meant you’ve changed the OP of the thread, rather than him making an erroneous unblocking of the OP.

Either that or it’s Brexit’s fault.
