How do we resolve the Brexit mess?

Ha ha ha - I remember Lord Wolfson extolling the virtues of Brexit before and after the referendum. You know what? To join in the general death cult feeling around Brexit and as sorry I would be for those who lose their jobs I'd be happy to see Next go under and take this **** with it - as the water gets neck deep for him I'd happily apply downward pressure and hold him under until resistance ceases.

His sanctimonious utterances about "economically productive migration" is exactly at the root of the fire and flames people like him fanned. Economically productive migrants were those Polish plumbers, those French lorry drivers and Italian waitresses that people like him told the ignorant were here undercutting them and depressing their wages (whilst at the same time firms like his were doing it ) so if I can for once in my life echo and paraphrase Boris Johnson and say Fuck business and fuck him and his two faced like.
"It's definitely not the Brexit that I wanted..."

Next's shareholders should sack him.

A man of many shitty views - he basically bought into and spread lies that he knew were lies or didn't do any research and spread lies - either way I am not entirely sure how he can hold his views and continue to expect respect and admiration given his lack of expertise and inability to think critically whilst remaining CEO of a FTSE 100 company

And latest polling suggesting 60% of the population want back in the EU. Are we surprised, every year sees more old aged dead Brexiteers and more young progressive pro-European people come of age.

Sweep man, I'm really fucking sorry, but to the honest with you the majority of us don't want ye back in the EU and at the moment without major changes there's no hope in hell you get the 27 votes necessary. If nothing else you'll need to bribe Hungary once you get everyone else on your side.

Just imagine - Brexiters are really worried about a few hundred people coming across the Channel in boats daily but have no concern for the excrement they are sailing through and we are expected to swim in every day

The good news is that the Reform Party is now polling higher and taking votes off the Tories. Labour still running at 2 X the Tory return so the good news for Labour is reform are UKIP 2.0 and splitting their right wing vote - they may need to ditch Sunak and get Cameron back lol

An additional bit of pressure to help raise the temperature towards some honest discussion on Brexit this mornin.

‘Also on today's panel is Financial Times editor Roula Khalaf, who says it's a relief to hear "no more fantasy economics" from the chancellor.

He says he's saying the party is going to be fiscally responsible, there is going to be pain but they will try to spread the pain across.

But she says there are two things that are not being said.

One is that the chancellor has to compensate for the impact of the mini-budget.

The second is that Brexit is the elephant in the room.

"Yes there are opportunities from Brexit but we haven't seen them yet," she says.

She adds there is "more room for transparency" on Brexit.’

And well done England cricket. Cheered me up a bit after yesterday.

They voted for a brexit that never existed, but they got the brexit they voted for without realising that it was the only version that ever existed.
Dot let any **** tell you this isn’t the Brexit they voted for. This is precisely the Brexit they voted for.

Own your fucking mistakes.

I'm not sure there is any real appetite from the EU to welcome the UK back with open arms, mate. Even now, in order to justify the monumental fuck up the tories are lying and making excuses. I think you've played your hand too early and fell for the old age trap of believing you will always hold the cards (obviously talking about the UK and not you! Haha) . It may have been the case in the past but I think Europe is getting a bit fed up with the Billy big bollocks attitude and are laughing at the shambles of a government as everyone else.

As I've said before, I don't want to see the UK back in the EU unless they vote for it with a super-majority (67%+) which should at least ensure we won't be going through this bollocks again, distracting all of the administration from other extremely important issues, for at least a generation. Also, while nobody in the EU gives a fuck about the pound and ye can keep that (see Poland, Czechia and Sweden) the other special exemptions would have to go.

Overplayed their importance for too long. Now seeing the results of that.
