Why did we buy Ake when Harwood Bellis is coming through?

The money is better off being used on the pitch rather than sitting in the bank but it's clear we need a defensive midfielder and a left back.

And a striker if only on loan especially if Garcia and Stones are shipped out.

Ake seems excellent and on paper Dias is everything we need. Ferran is supposed to replace Sane, and hopefully he becomes a solid attacking threat. This season apart from Dias performing, we need the midfield at its peak. Like Foden has to be performing very well. At worst case for LB, we can play Ake there...but it would be perfect window if he get a solid LB in this window...

Because Harwood-Bellis is miles away from the premiership at this time

It has been satisfactory and will get even better when we get the last piece of the defensive jigsaw into place.

The position will get much better when we see our forward strike force back in October.

LB was a priority but with the injuries and long term worry about Aguero, Striker is now no1 and if we could also get some fresh legs and pace in CM , I would rate this window 9/10

This ought to be obvious to the club, yet clearly it is not. Something has disrupted this window. Covid, probably, and the uncertainty and chaos that seems to go with it.
