How do you assess our transfer business?

Ake seems excellent and on paper Dias is everything we need. Ferran is supposed to replace Sane, and hopefully he becomes a solid attacking threat. This season apart from Dias performing, we need the midfield at its peak. Like Foden has to be performing very well. At worst case for LB, we can play Ake there...but it would be perfect window if he get a solid LB in this window...

And Foden should not be played out of position again.

Think we've done well but the last few windows have been reactive rather then proactive, so we're a bit behind

I know hindsight is 20/20 but feel like we've held on to players too long and are waiting to replace them. CB/LB should have been a priority last summer but now we are playing catchup. A striker and midfielder felt needed this window, because now it looks like we'll be forced to buy them next.

But I think Ake, Dias, Torres are all good signings. Remaining hopeful for 1 more although it seems unlikely.

He is a good player but we have left sided defenders. There are areas we do have problems with which we can't cover because we've spent £40m on Ake and £20m on Torres. Neither imo were vital additions.

Ideal additions IMO.

I tgink we've don't well. Made outd most needed signings. LB wouldn't be such as big an issue if there was somebody in house lwho consistently made Mendy nervous. But it is what it is. We've done fine.

Think it’s been above average. But I wonder if people are maybe thinking the season will be curtailed and not wanting to be paying wages for no games etc?? I think Jan might be busier than usual for a lot of teams.

two decent centre halves which were a priority so in that sense its good

but its apparent also that there are other significant weaknesses.....left back being the obvious one but also a lack of drive, physicality and mobility in midfield (especially defensively)

We will have to address that and the forward positions next summer - next summer we will need to go huge if we have any chance of replacing Kun and Ferna

Good.

I'd sooner we brought in a striker,a left back and a defensive midfielder but there isn't much about.It seems we are rightly going down the quality,not quantity,route.

Still time though.....

3 good quality signings but still underwhelming and our squad is very unbalanced.

We need a leader and athletic midfield player, a quality LB and Kun replacement should have come in this window.

I would love a Kun replacement, but I don't think there is anyone top quality available at the moment, who would be willing to be third choice when Kun and Jesus are fit again.
