People seem very reactionary.

This window for me is an 8. We got rid of a bad backup-keeper, Angelino and Otamendi who couldn’t defend. A perfect window would have been selling Stones and Zinchenko and buying a leftback.

I’m sure we will look for a leftback in the winter window if Mendy doesn’t show some consistent performances very soon but I actually think he did OK yesterday.

I completely agree.

The entitlement in this thread is embarrassing, Aguero and Jesus will both be back in 3 weeks and people want to spunk £100m on a new striker.

We have addressed everything that needed addressing this window so I am pretty pleased.
 
Cannot help but feel underwhelmed and disappointed by this window. I expected a bigger statement after we won against UEFA as well. I think some of our biggest weaknesses such as Left Back have been left unaddressed.
 
Average window - some great business but some glaring holes not filled

The good (and main priority ) of centre half has hopefully been sorted.

However the huge glaring weakness at left back hasnt been solved Mendy is a huge weak point) nor do I believe is our midfield sufficient...Gundo and rodri are potential weak points as well.

Next big window needs to address Left back centre mid and forward

Agreed with most but I think the Gone Dogging Replacement is Douglas Luis next year and I think seeing by how he plays against Liverpool.. he will fit in nicely when we have a foreign slot open for him after Fernandinho leaves.
 
Given all the uncertainty and whatnot. It’s been a sensible window. Addressed the main issue and left two potential issues for later. Given that the season my be an omnishambles, and or possibly curtailed, who wants mega stars on mega money sat at home in their boxers .
Let’s see where we are when the circus comes back to Town in January.
 
Very Underwhelming. Over 100 million on two centre backs and one of them is going to have to play left back cause ours are awful. I thought we needed to make a statement signing this summer eg; Koulibaly, Sancho, Thiago etc. Torres has potential but we haven’t replaced Leroy who is already one of the worlds best wingers. Foden isn’t ready and isn’t the same style to replace El Mago. Still issues at left back and Zero progress in Aguero long term replacement.

Oh but we nearly sign Messi.
If we sign him at the end of the season I just hope we don’t fanny about most of the transfer window like this one.
 
8. Gradual improvement and signing two centre-backs (one with pace) were top priority.

Aguero is injury prone and Jesus is nowhere near an adequate replacement. A net spend of £60m does not indicate intent, more a 'we've made a profit again' attitude, 'look at our business model.'
Having said that, if the players we have start putting up a fight it might be a lot less worrying.
