The players we have bought look decent choices on paper and I am looking forward to seeing them play, with the exception of Ake I haven't seen them before.
However unless Ake can be a high quality left back, this does remain a concern. Teams have consistently exploited this side against us for over a year now and in against Leeds and Wolves we had consistent problems down the left. I fortunately didn't see the Leicester game. So I'd give the window 5-6/10 which would jump to 7-8 with a decent left back.

Not nearly good enough, I’m really disappointed with this window. We are way off Liverpool’s level and needed players to really improve the team. I’m not sure any of our signings are any better than what we’ve had.
How we haven’t signed a striker or a left back is just baffling. I fear it’s going to be a real struggle this season.

You don’t think Dias and Ake and having Laporte back are better than Fernandinho ,Otamendi Garcia . Or Torres is better than nothing ? Or Steffen better than Bravo ?Not nearly good enough, I’m really disappointed with this window. We are way off Liverpool’s level and needed players to really improve the team. I went into this window with so much optimism....we were being liked with some very good prospects such as Camavinga, Couto etc and you could See us building a team for the next years.
Along comes Khaldoon and talks of signings and ups the expectation level again. We have Torres and Ake both good signings but the big ones are still to come....we have the Messi hysteria and then everything goes flat.
Dias, if he really was first choice who knows, but I think he will do well, but for me, the window has been poor. Coupled with that, we have confusion over Pep, a non event of a pre- season and a dis- jointed start......bit like our transfer strategy really.
