How do you true blues feel about the enigmatic Mario Balotelli?

Lovely lad but a bit of a dipstick. So much talent that he made huge sums of money and became world famous at such a young age that he lost sight of the career he should have had.

Was brilliant entertainment for us though, and overall he contributed reasonably well on the pitch. Wish him all the best.

Reminds me a lot of the likes of Rodney Marsh and Frank Worthington .
He's got the talent but his minds on other things .
You only after look at the way he played in that semi against United .
There is a player in there .

Love the daft sod, he made a bigger contribution to the FA Cup and PL title wins than his critics seem prepared to admit. He is what he is and Bodgers made the mistake of thinking he could eradicate the daftness and still have the same player. Wrong again Brenton, when Mario is on his game it's that edginess that makes him effective.

Yea, going with the general consensus really in that he had bags of potential but his daft behaviour hindered his ability on the field.
He's more of a celebrity than an athlete, although if he did knuckle down then maybe he'll show his past potential.

I can see him in some hollywood comedy film in the future.
The best footballers aren't always the best Soccer AM guests if you know what I mean.

He did partake in some of my favourite recent city moments however such as the "why always me" celebration, the FA Cup final vs. Stoke celebration with Yaya running in front of Mario and of course the pass to agueroooooo.

A lot of bollocks is talked about Mario, 86 goals in 223 appearances is not quite the flop people like to portray. Involved in some great moments for us and a good laugh, I like him a lot

Maybe the memory plays tricks sometimes, but as I recall Mario did his best to self-destruct in the 2nd half of the first title winning season and luckily Tevez decided to put in a shift to offset the damage.

As well as destroying our europa league hopes by randomly karate kicking a kiev player in the head

I'd have him back, absolutely bonkers but with the right mentor and guide would be a great squad addition. He isn't as good as he thinks he is but maybe he is realising that now.

The game at the Emirates summed that up perfectly. He was playing like an idiot from the off. At HT, and with the game still goal-less, I said to a mate who I was watching the game with; "he's going to get sent off". Sure enough, already having been booked, he launches into a stupid tackle late-ish on and gets his walking papers. He had the potential to go on and become a great of the game, but he didn't have the application to do it. Imagine his skill with the attitude of Bellamy or Milner (technically, far inferior players to him).

Why always me
