How does booing help?

Without fans there would be no club.
The owners, Mancini and the players need to know when the fans aren't happy with the complete bullshit on the pitch. If they play well we will clap and cheer if they shit they will get boo'ed.
They are professional footballers who are getting payed a shit load of money to go out and perform, we are paying alot of money to go and watch them perform. If I dont like what I see and feel like I have wasted money then I'll boo all I like.

If you pay to go to watch a band play and they just stand there moaning instead of singing you would boo would you not? You have payed for a performance and you're not getting one.

We have a brilliant squad, we have a great set up, we have a manager with a brilliant record so if they dont play to level they should be then as fans its up to us to let them know.

Anyone who sais we shouldnt boo clearly dosnt give a shit about how well we play.

What if the band were, on the whole a decent band, but just missed a few note's on the odd occasion, because they had only formed recently?

If missing a few notes means we play that bad and can't even beat birmingham then the problem is alot bigger than a few boos.

Back when we had avarage players and very little money there was never any boo's, Its not the results that piss people off its the performance.
We beat west brom but apart from that all of our performances recently have been shockingly bad which just isnt good enough.

Hahahahahahaha

Unbelievable stuff

Does booing make the team play better? - no

Does booing help nurture an environment conducive to success? - no

So much hypocrisy surrounding the subject of booing. There seems to be certain elements of our support who thrive on being permanently outraged. They're outraged by what the press write about us, yet the same people fuel the negative reporting in the press by voicing their outrage at the matches.

Fans are outraged at the criticism we receive for spending so much money, claiming it can't buy success, yet the same people are secretly expecting instant success as demonstrated by their constant whining when things don't go our way.

The fans bemoan the loss of Craig Bellamy, when in fact Craig Bellamy's loyalty to City couldn't stretch to keeping his head down and refraining from undermining our manager at every given opportunity.

As the likes of Chelsea, Arsenal and United have all learned this season, the idea that there are any "easy" matches in the Prem is a complete myth. A well organised team on its day can make it very hard for even the most talented of sides to carve out an opening.

i guess we just have to accept that some people will woman and moan no matter what we do though. There's people who sit near me who come out with the same negative comments week in week out and have done so irrespective of our standing in the league table or what division we're in for the past 10 years. To be honest, I think these people need to find a better way to spend their money as going to football seems to be an expensive waste of time for them.

Seriously can one of you "booers" explain this to me?
Can someone explain why we need to "help" a bunch of professionals paid tens of thousands of pounds a week?

If they're not performing to an acceptable standard then they need to know. If that doesn't get the message home to them then they need to be shipped out.

Say you went for an expensive meal and the courses all arrived at different times, were either burned or under-cooked and it generally tasted like shit, would you meekly say "That was lovely"?

Why should how much they get paid have anything to do with how much we should support the team?? Follow that logic through and in a couple of seasons you won't bother supporting the team at all. Booing doesn't help the team. It only gives more fuel to the media witch hunt against us, and if they get their way, give it 3 months before they start again with the next manager.

spot on - but unfortunately it won't stop people, as you point out it's almost a reflex action for some people. They prob don't mean harm - just can't help themselves.

I remember Tony Book taking a fantastic amount of stick off the Kippax and he was a good manager.
