Liverpool keep banging on about how good they are doing financially while not really achieving much so that would make us the blue version of Liverpool although we are actually a far better team

imo if we dont win title this year, I can see us dominating next year, unbeaten and winning league by 10+ points. The momentum is there for everyone to see (yes even United fans, and they dont like it!).

Having a discussion with a fellow blue in work yesterday. My view is that, at this stage of our development, actually winning the league is of secondary importance to doing well in the CL. The reason for that is financial.

Coming second costs us about £1.8m I think compared to winning it but getting to the quarter or semi-final of the CL gains us more than ten times that. Plus it enhances our global standing, thereby increasing our commercial appeal. As increasing our income substantially is one of the key requirements of the business plan then that's more important than actually winning the league in my view.

I would suggest that after 500 Million big one the owners would think that its very important even more that it is now our only chance or silverwear and that if we dont win it the rags will

if you don't win the title in this country then you're a nobody , who wants to finish second ?

Winning titles brings a club prestige , respect , money , and the right to call yourselves champions of that country ......

winning titles is definetely important , and the more of them you win the better ..... just as the next (but one !) step of winning the Champions League is !

I say 'next but one' , as the Europa League stands inbetween !
