The state of this thread ... seriously how did you guys survive the 18/19 season?

We had such a good thread going all second half of that season ... those who don't remember, it was called "Why we will win the league!" and we had it going from when we were behind Liverpool in January all the way to the end ... and I know (from a lot of comments in there) it kept us all together and behind the team all the way ... don't remember all this so scared, so down attitude that's going on here this time ...

I know some faint-hearted souls on here didn't even dare open that thread till after we had actually won (as they declared it themselves in there) ... maybe that's what we need again ... a bit of optimism (and some balls) ... not this "oh my god we are 'only' 11 points ahead with 6-7 games to go" ...

Warning: Don't open my pre-match thread for the next league game - Villa (A) then ... because you won't like it at all - that game too is one we can "still afford" to lose - and expect the same/similar team as Leeds in that one too. Reason?? Dortmund (QF) + Chelsea (SF) before and Spurs (Final) + CL (SF) after ... simple! AND the fact that even in the absolute worst case scenario, we will still be well ahead at the top - 5 points ahead with 5 games to go is absolutely "well ahead" ... again, how did you survive the last 14 games of the 18/19 season if you can't hold it together right now? This is walk in the park compared to 18/19 ... or 11/12 ... or hell, even 13/14 was more tighter than this.
What everyone fails to realise is that the original title to this thread was “how many points to win the league?”, so this thread is literally about how many points it will be that wins the league. All the talk of who will drop or gain points where, contributes to the exact discussion that should be taking place when you consider the original thread titled.

People saying things like “we don’t have to worry about United, they won’t catch us” “this team won’t let it slip from here” have absolutely nothing to do with how many points it will be when the title is won.

A thread title of “why we will win the league” is completely different to “how many points to win the league?”

I pray you're right mate but karma is a funny thing and the universe may just think it to be highly amusing to repeat the scenario with us on the receiving end.
There’s no such thing as karma. Nor luck destiny fate omens signs, nothing is ever written in the stars... they’re all just fictions made up by human imaginations.

Why would you write this?!

Because I'm trying to temper all the "We've won the league already, relax" talk, it doesn't sit right with me and often when too much of it is put out into the universe, the universe has a habit of going against it. Just my belief of course, others think totally differently.

Each to their own. Everything in the universe gives off energy and that energy affects other energies around it.

Jeeeeeeeez...

"No such thing as Karma..." ?

No such things as "signs" and "omens" ?

How the fuck am I going to be able to continue to live my beautiful, calm, peaceful life in sun drenched central Portugal?

I always rely on signs and omens to decide what to do each day...

The fallen apple blossom has formed in a patten suggesting we will scrape through tonight.

This sign tells me to go shopping for beer to drink tonight.

Tonight has a bit of significance for this thread. If we win with a rested team, then it completely justifies Pep's decision to rotate against Leeds. If we get knocked out, then it raises questions on whether it was the right thing to do.

No it doesnt. Rotating against Leeds was the right thing to do, in order to give us the best chance of winning this game. If we go out tonight it has no correlation at all to the Leeds game where the right decision to change the team was made.
