How to bulk up?

Time to start thinking about targets for 2015, anyone got any? For me,

Solid 90kg bench, would like 100kg but I'll see how that goes. Current 70kg.
1.5x bodyweight squat at target weight, which would be 127.5kg. Current 95kg.
Not really sure on my deads, I reckon I have 150kg in me. I love them so that helps. Current 105kg.
85kg body weight at slightly lower bf%. I don't really care about what my weight is, it's just a number in mind given current weight and rough lean weight gain. Current 76kg.

If I hit any early I'll just set new targets for the end of the year.

Wow - this thread way down in the depths!

Finding it hard to get anywhere at the moment, in a pickle as to whether to 'bulk' or trim the little tyre off.
If I go bigger, I do find it hard to get enough calories in, and try to shy away from the sugar-riddled 'mass gainer' shakes, but looked at this one:

<a class="postlink" href="http://www.bulkpowders.co.uk/shop-by-goal/increase-mass/informed-mass.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.bulkpowders.co.uk/shop-by-go ... -mass.html</a>

anyone any thoughts? The fact the carbs come from oats seems a bonus, and less than 2g of sugar per 150g serving.

Still winter - Get bulking! ;)

RE: Shakes, I'd say just make your own mate. Instant oats are the cheapest food you'll ever buy, and the difference between a regular shake and a mass gainer shake is pretty much oats. It gives you the flexibility to try different flavour protein powders, still have protein shakes on their own, or drop off the oats when you need to cut back your calories a bit. Also good to separate out the creatine so you're not taking 10g if you want two shakes a day.

The main thing is just to count calories. You can think you're eating a lot without eating much at all. I'm plateauing out at 78.5kg at just under 3000 calories and I'm dreading eating more.

In the spirit of the thread this is my weight since 23/08/14 when I started up again. You can see my slow down over the last month but still happy with my progress. Been militant with my diet and workouts and it's paying off. Waistline is barely even up an inch too!

I already do a 'breakfast' shake of oats, whey, peanut butter and milk - could I just do 2 of these a day? I realise proper food is the best way, but not sure I can stretch to twice as much chicken/salmon/tuna as we buy these days.

You could just have two of those shakes, another in the afternoon. Maybe mix it up a bit, my mega shake is pretty similar but also has flax and a banana in it. Sometimes half a snicker, iifym and all.. Or instead of the shake at breakfast try adding a scoop of whey to porridge and some peanut butter.

Re: your weight gain, how tall are you mate?

Feel your pain. Tbh a lot of the time its a time issue. When I'm supposed to be preparing a second or third meal of chicken and sweet potatoes ill never know. Its oats all the way for me. Definitely just chuck another one of your breakfast shakes in if that's the case.

I'm 6ft on the button.
