How to bulk up?

Oh believe me I've lost fat. I was on steroids for a while so got quite a chub on me but the cardio has seen to that. Just want to be sure I'm not overlooking anything that could tone up my arms more.

If you do alot of cardio and don't have a high protein diet, you will have lost more mass than actually reducing your body fat.

A marathon runner has a higher body fat percentage than a 100m sprinter, it's all about how you train.

At the moment I am not using anything. Been told my form is fine.

I find my wrists mainly hurt on dumbbell exercises eg Incline Press, Chest Press and Hammer Curls and so on.

Could the cause be getting them from the floor and into position mate ? Not normally an issue using a weight you're doing higher reps with, but on heavier sets it can be.

Other than that try some grip strength/wrist/forearm exercises, if you want to try some google 'Steve Gardener grip' (posts on our board), pretty much one of the top guys in the field.

It's to do with the stress on your bones, I was the same a few years back. I have thin wrists so when I went up the weight my wrists use to hurt alot. However take some Fish oil and Glucasamine B&M sell them you don't need expensive ones. Really helps after a couple of weeks.

Cut whilst doing weights, you will look bigger even though you will weigh less, get some chesteze caffiene tabs and aspirin ;)

Tablets? What benefits mate and long term issues with these?

Scratch that, google is your friend.

Cheers mate

Genuine T5's are virtually impossible to get hold of now as they contain Ephedra instead of Ephedrine. However in chesteze they contain about 11mg which is pharma grade.

When combined with caffiene and Asprin you have a proper fat burner, increases body temp slightly and your metabolism, plus it gives you a shitload of energy. The best thing about Ephedrine though is the appetite suppressant side of it.

Side effects include Sweating, heart palpitations ( if you have caffeine overload) and feeling shakey, however just try it for two weeks and let me know how you get on.

1 chest eze tab , 200mg caf tablet and 1 asprin tab.

Thanks mate, will get today and start using.

When you go chemist ask for chesteze and just say you have a chesty cough :)

Comedy gold.

Anyway the Ephedrine Caffeine and Aspirin stack it works but not worth the side effects. replace it with 2 mg of nicotine in gum form.

What is comedy gold? It's true a 100m sprinter has a lower body fat percentage to a marathon runner.

You're comparing apples and oranges.

I'm comparing the difference between mainly low intensity long cardio workouts, and weights with high intensity cardio. It's a huge difference and it all depends on your goals, Boots sounds like she needs to opt for the latter to get her desired body.

People can lose loads of weight but still have high body fat like what marathon runners do, where as if you change your routine and focus on more weights and high intensity cardio you will change your body's physique.

It's all down to nutrition really, IIFYM is the answer to a lot of peoples needs as you can still eat foods you like and lose weight at the same time. As long as you stick to your macros.

Just so you're aware, it's not a magic bullet. If you still have a shit diet ECA won't save you. If you don't know a) How many calories you burn on an average day and b) How many calories you eat on an average day, I'd stay away from it until you do.
