Milner had license to supplement attack, allowing the front three to interchange and culminate in spaces appearing for the attacking 4. This is most effective against a man marking team. I'm surprised Coyle didn't compensate for that.

The greatest merit of Mancini is a concealed mind.

You can't guess him.

A deep squad will allow him that weapon. He will keep his nemesis guessing.

I think Nasri and Silva can play together when he plays only one striker in a 4-3-2-1 formation trying to flood the midfield.

Apart from that he will alternate them.

If I can read his mind, he will also alternate Aguero with Tevez and Dzeko with Balotelli.

Only his back four and defensive mids are revealed and predictable. But his attacking trio will keep people second guessing.

Good tactics. Strikers are best used when they are hungry.
